I really wish there was a good, non-clumsy English translation or equivalent for appending “nee-chan” at the end of someone’s name because
Fee calls Trill “Trill nee-chan” and it’s really adorable
But sadly there is not and I’ll just leave it at Trill, probably :’)
Back to weekly updates! We’re getting near the end of the portion of this chapter that deals exclusively with Kalas and Fee :]

This is about the end of what I had queued up from what I had translated already, so from now on it’ll probably be an update once a week or so. Again, these aren’t the final version of the translation, so when I release the first chapter as a whole, it’ll be a much more polished translation.

This is a continuation of the same scene as the last snippet. Equal parts badassery and sad. Ayme and Giacomo have some pretty rad dialogue here.
HERE IS SOME MORE TRANSLATION SNIPPETTING. Once again, this isn’t the final translation, just a peek into the work in progress. This picks up from the last snippet I posted.
I meant to keep posting translation snippets but time got away from me and all my time thinking about this translation has been dedicated to hammering out 3-5 pages a week of translation. WHOOPS!! so I’m going to start setting up a queue of bits of the translation in bite-sized pieces and hopefully I won’t…keep…forgetting…….. Also the pieces I’m posting are not the final translation; some of the problems I’ve encountered haven’t been reviewed by my advisor and I haven’t had time to make it as polished and nicey prosey as I’d like. When I finish the first chapter, I’ll go back over my translation (like I did with the prologue) with a fine-tooth comb and fix the flow. ANYWAY YES SORRY FOR…LETTING THIS BLOG HANG IN THE NETHERSPACE I’ll get back on posting PRONTO

OKAY GUYS here’s the first bit of chapter one c: this is by no means a final translation, either; I’m aware it still needs some touching up. If you have any specific comments on it (suggestions, places where the flow is particularly awkward, etc), those are totally appreciated as well, because sometimes when you work on a translation for a while you get a bit of tunnel vision about how well it flows!
